Lizzie Knatt – Recorders

New works for solo recorder, created in collaboration with Lizzie Knatt’s team of composers, cellist and visual artist, dialogue with 17th century variations. An exploration of the infinite tonal and expressive power of this extraordinary instrument, drawing on its rich repertoire, and in juxtaposition with electronics and live painting.

Theorbo Today

Song of the Olive Garden receives its premiere by theorbist Toby Carr, commissioned by the Theorbo Today project.

The programme of new works for voice, theorbo, and lutes also includes commissions by Rhiannon Randle, Peter Openshaw, and Giovanni Grosskopf.
